How to Heat Press DTF Transfers?
Please note that heat presses vary in temperature and pressure, so the following are general guidelines. We suggest ordering a few extra designs to practise and find the ideal settings for your specific press.

Step 1: Position and First Press
Place your DTF transfer on the garment. Set the heat press based on garment materials, see the table below. Cover the design with a Teflon sheet before pressing.
Material |
Temperature (°C) |
Press time (second) |
Pressure (PSI) |
Cotton |
150 ~ 160 |
9 ~ 12 |
70 ~ 90 |
Poly |
130 ~ 140 |
8 ~ 10 |

Neoprene |

Step 2: Peel the Transfer Film
After pressing, wait a few seconds and peel. If parts of the design aren’t sticking, try again with more pressure and an extra 5°C of heat. Do not over the temperature range.
If it still doesn’t stick, try to press again and peel when fully cool down until the design adheres properly. The great thing about Pure Pack transfers is that multiple pressing won’t damage the transfer.
Step 3: Second Press for Durability
Cover the design with a Teflon sheet. Press again with medium to high pressure for an additional 10 seconds. This step strengthens the bond between the design and the fabric, giving you a durable and professional finish.
By following these simple steps, you can achieve professional quality DTF transfers that stand out and last. With a little practise, you’ll be customising garments like a pro in no time.
Happy pressing!
